How is this different from a regular VPS?
Section titled “How is this different from a regular VPS?”Claude Code comes installed and you can buy a Claude account with the machine; the disk is encrypted and unreadable even to us while suspended; and you can turn on auto-suspend so idle time costs only the base fee. Always on, it costs about the same as a comparable cloud server.
Will suspending lose what I’m running?
Section titled “Will suspending lose what I’m running?”No. Suspending saves the whole memory to disk and loads it back exactly; processes and open files are all there. New machines don’t auto-suspend by default, and when it’s on an active machine isn’t suspended. Note that cron and other scheduled jobs don’t run while suspended.
How do I connect to a suspended machine?
Section titled “How do I connect to a suspended machine?”Just SSH in. When the connection arrives we start the machine and forward it — about 10 extra seconds.
Can I run a public service?
Section titled “Can I run a public service?”Yes, but on server-IP:port rather than a dedicated IP — open a port on the machine page. Custom domains and automatic HTTPS aren’t supported yet.
Do the pre-installed AI tools come with an account?
Section titled “Do the pre-installed AI tools come with an account?”Not by default — sign in yourself; we never touch your credentials. Or buy Claude Pro at creation (+$40 per 30 days) and we sign it in for you.
Will you charge me automatically?
Section titled “Will you charge me automatically?”We never charge your payment method automatically. The only recurring deduction is a Claude account you bought: every 30 days from your balance.
What happens when my balance runs out?
Section titled “What happens when my balance runs out?”Machines are suspended and data is kept — top up and carry on. After 7 days in debt machines can’t be started; only after 30 days and repeated notices are they deleted.
